Who is Ekene Smith?

My name is Ekene Smith Ikenna Adigwu — a stand-up comedian, actor, MC, and cultural creative entrepreneur from Lagos, Nigeria.
Since 2012, I have built a comedy career rooted in African urban storytelling, satire, and relatable everyday experiences. My work reflects culture, people, language, and shared social moments — delivered with energy, originality, and bold stage presence.
I produce original comedy IP including “The Comic Satire of the Lagos Bus Passenger”, a digital comedy series capturing Nigerian commuter life through character-driven satire.

The Journey of Ekene Smith Adigwu Foundation

In 2022, I founded the Ekene Smith Adigwu Youth Foundation and launched the Positive Youth Talent Discovery Initiative, mentoring young African comedians and digital creators through structured masterclasses, competitions, and community outreach. Comedy for me is more than entertainment — it is a tool for cultural preservation, youth empowerment, and global creative exchange.
